Join us as Books Alive! For Kids joins The Gaskins Foundation by supplying STEAM Kits to students for the STEMulating Saturday program at the Cincinnati Museum Center!
STEAM Kits include books and art materials for exploring multidisciplinary concepts inspired by the thematic connections found in the books featured.
For April, we will be showcasing “Kaya’s Heart Song” from our interactive library alongside, “Harbor Me” within our Companion Book Series for older students. Both books will be exploring themes of mindfulness, courage, and interconnectedness. As stories take us magical adventures (including finding a broken down carousel) students will be exploring ways to create simple machines; from parasols to their very own mechanized carousels!
Our special guest this month will be The Well, located right here in Cincinnati! The Well will be sharing their programming based in mindfulness to lead students in meditative exercises through the intersection of the arts.
