ME programs promote continuing education; mastering basic educational skills; respect; decision-making; keys to success; cultural and environmental awareness and understanding. Mosaic Edutainment presents A Black Anthology of Music, High School ‘Hood Is Bigger Than You Think® Tour, Rhythms…Common Bonds, and Textural Rhythms: Hear the Touch. Programs and workshops are reaching over 875,000 participants in school, university, civic, and corporate communities.
BLACK ANTHOLOGY OF MUSIC (BAM) Grades K-8:
Shared with over 650,000 participants throughout the Midwest, BAM is a historical exploration of America’s classical music, Jazz. Kathy Wade with piano accompaniment performs this musical journey demonstrating the need to master basic skills: reading, writing, math, thinking and listening with daily practice of the program’s message and motto, “I will finish what I start!”
THE HIGH SCHOOL ‘HOOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK® TOUR – RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, READY!
The High School ‘Hood Is Bigger Than You Think program, a highly motivational daylong program, targets 10th through 12th grade high school students with highly motivated educational cultural enrichment and entertainment. The program explores three key elements of life’s most important lessons:
Respect – Celebrating self-respect leading us to understanding the benefits of respecting our global neighbors and the world in which we live.
Responsibility – Reinforcement of the behaviors that enable us to engage to be successful and productive participants in our global society.
Ready! – Practice, preparation and implementation of the five keys to success: reading, writing, math, thinking and listening.
RHYTHMS…COMMON BONDS (RCB) Grades 4-12:
Rhythms…Common Bonds is about RESPECT. RCB captures the lessons of respect by blending music, percussion, singing, poetry and storytelling into a highly interactive performance. Kathy Wade with piano accompaniment and Afro-Cuban percussionist draw students into the ‘rhythms of life’ emphasizing our most common bond between all cultures, ‘respect’. “Respect. You have to give to gain it!”
TEXTURAL RYTHMS: HEAR THE TOUCH
A musical cocoon envelops the audience to see, hear and touch the textural rhythms of Jazz. International award-winning jazz entertainer Kathy Wade with piano accompaniment take the ‘art off the walls and onto the stage’ through an integrated multi-media musical presentation relaying the stories found within the new quilt exhibit by the Women of Color Quilters Network, Textural Rhythms: Constructing the Jazz Tradition.
The presentation incorporates the history of jazz and its relationship to the history of our country. The music of artists featured throughout the exhibition and weaves a story of jazz celebrating its mosaic beauty which is the standard bearer of America’s classical music, Jazz.
