Join Jazz lovers from around the region for this special two-day celebration of Jazz music, with concerts and events at both Washington Park and the nationally-renowned School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) in Over-the-Rhine.
Friday, August 22 8:00 p.m. Gregory Porter, GRAMMY Winner and Mandy Gaines fresh from her recent tour of Europe and Asia. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to stake out prime seating for this free concert at Washington Park’s Haile Main Stage.

Learning Through Art, Inc. presents its inaugural day-long Crown Jewels of Jazz® CJ2 Jazz Camp for high school students, grades 9-12. Meet and learn from the region’s top Jazz musicians, university and high school faculty through highly interactive instrumental clinics, Jazz theory and improvisation classes.
You’ll start your day with the journey and history of Jazz; spend the morning working with our incredible Jazz faculty in instrumental clinics; after lunch, learn Jazz Theory and Improvisation from our Jazz faculty while playing with fellow Jazz campers and end the afternoon on stage playing with CJ2 Jazz Camp Faculty at the Crown Jewels of Jazz Festival.
All that Jazz for $35 which includes registration, lunch, refreshments and CJ2 Bag. Students younger than high school accepted on case by case basis with written recommendation from Band Director and/or Instructor. All students should have at least 2 years of band and/or private instruction experience. You must bring your instrument to participate in CJ2 Jazz Camp activities.
